Pound Puppies - Cute bunch of
canine puppies on the Saturday morning animated Hanna-Barbera
cartoon POUND PUPPIES/ABC/1986-87.
Living in the Wagga Wagga Pound,
the Pound Puppies awaited the day they will be adopted and taken to
a home of their own.
The puppies at the pound included Cooler, the
puppies' leader (Dan Gilvezan); Bright Eyes, (Nancy Cartwright),
Howler (Bobby Morse); Whopper (B.J. Ward) and Nose Marie (Ruth Buzzi).
The puppies' human acquaintances included their 11-year-old friend
Holly (Ami Foster) and their nemesis Katrina Stoneheart (Pat Caroll)
and her sister Bratina Stoneheart (Adrienne Alexander who tried to
prevent the dog's adoptions.
A follow-up series THE ALL-NEW POUND PUPPIES/ABC/1987-88
continued the storyline with with 20 new episodes.
