Jaime Sommers and Maximillion, the
Bionic Dog
Max was the loyal pet of espionage operative Jaime Sommers
(Lindsay Wagner), the Bionic Woman who adopted the dog during the
3rd season. Max debuted in the two-part episode "The Bionic Dog."
Maximillion ("Max" for short) got his name because he cost $1
million dollars to outfit with bionic parts which included a bionic
jaw and four bionic legs.
Because of a childhood trauma involving fire, Max was scheduled
for termination after biting a lab assistant who attempted to light a
cigarette. However, with the help of Jaime Sommers, Max overcome his
pyrophobia and his sentence of death was commuted.
