White Shadow (played by Chinook) is the canine companion of Corky Brady (Darlene Gillespie), a pretty teenage girl who lives in the small town of Beaumont with her father, sheriff Matt Brady (Buddy Ebsen).

When a bank robber named Durango Dude (Rayford Barnes) escapes from the custody of the Waterford town jail, Corky and her dog pursue the runaway felon. As she reminds her father "Me and Shadow got a nose for ferreting out lawbreakers."
