Max - Golden retriever seen on the
domestic drama THE YEAR IN THE LIFE/NBC/1987-88. Max lives with the
Gardner's, a large prosperous family from the city of Seattle.
Max (real name "Beau") was found in
a dog pound at the age of 1 and 1/2. He appeared in Purina dog food
commercials and in the movie Wargames (1983). Max's
owner/trainer was Bob Blair.
TRIVIA NOTE: Another "Max," a
lugubrious English bull dog belonged to district attorney of J. L.
McCabe (William Conrad) on the detective drama JAKE & THE FATMAN/CBS/1987-92.
Max's real name was Sebastian.
