Sidney lives in the jungles of Africa. When he is unhappy (which is all the time) he asks for advice and comfort from his friends Stanley the Lion and Cleo the Giraffe.

Created by Gene Deitch and produced by Terrytoons, the Sydney character was first released to theaters and later aired as a component of the Saturday morning cartoon THE HECTOR HEATHCOTE SHOW/NBC/1963.
