Mr. Angel - The heavenly
sitcom GOOD HEAVENS/ABC/1976 starred Carl Reiner as Mr. Angel,
a divine messenger sent to Earth to bestow upon selected
do-gooders the prize of a wish for anything of their
choosing -- except money. For instance, one man chose to live
out his life long dream of getting a try out with a big league
baseball team, while a women wished for a boyfriend that
combined the best qualities of all the other men she had
dated; and another woman, an
aspiring country-western singer
was given a big break for not taking advantage of a fellow
singers misfortune. In essence, this heavenly TV series was
basically Fantasy Island with an angel. The show's
original pilot title was "Everything Money Can't Buy."
