Willy the Whale - Three-ton talking orca whale on the animated half-hour Nelvana Entertainment cartoon production of FREE WILLY/ABC/1994-96. Willy (voice of Paul Haddad) roamed the world's oceans and tackled environmental villains like "The Machine" (Gary Krawford). Aiding Willy was a brash 12-year-old human named Jesse who traveled aboard the research vessel Eco-Ranger II with Marine experts Randolph (Michael Fletcher) and Marlene (Rachel Crawford). Willy's aquatic sidekicks included Lucille, a sea-lion (Alyson Court) and Einstein, a baby dolphin (Kevin Zegers). The series is based on the 1993 theatrical film Free Willy and the sequels Free Willy 2: The Adventure Home (1995) and Free Willy 3: The Rescue (1997).
