The Midnight Society - Clandestine neighborhood club composed of kids of various ages that told scary stories on each episode of the supernatural anthology ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK?/NIK/1992-93. Gathering around a campfire in the middle of the woods, the youthful members of the Midnight Society challenged each other to tell the scariest story. Each encounter began with the storyteller for the night saying "Submitted for the approval of The Midnight Society, I call this story______" followed by a flash as a powder thrown onto the campfire ignited into the evening sky. The gathering ended with someone dousing the campfire with water and saying "I declare this meeting of the Midnight Society closed." Members included Frank (Jason Alisharan); Gary (Ross Hull); Betty Ann (Raine Pare-Coull); Kiki (Jodi Resther); Kristin (Rachel Blanchard); David (Nathaniel Moreau); Eric (Jacob Tierney); Tucker (Daniel De Santo); and Sam (Joanna Garcia).
