  Calling Cards

Zorro Reward PosterZorro's Calling Card - Guy Williams starred in the Disney production of ZORRO/ABC/1957-59 that featured Don Diego de la Vega as Zorro, a masked swashbuckling swordsman who righted wrongs in the Spanish California. As the opening theme song proclaimed this "bold renegade marks a Z with his blade, a Z that stands for Zorro". Zorro often left his calling card carved on walls, furniture and even the  clothing or skin of those foolish enough to challenge his lightning swift sword. The character of Zorro was reprised in the sitcom ZORRO AND SON/CBS/1983 In this series however, Zorro used guns, gas bombs and other modern weapons in place of the sword. The Family Channel also aired the adventures of THE NEW ZORRO in the late 1980s.
