LAND OF THE GIANTS/ABC/1968-70 (Tiny Humans)
*(Gary Conway/costar) Captain Steve Burton, the commander of a
Sub-orbital craft (Flight No. 612) known as "The Spindrift" who was
transporting passengers from the United States to London on June 16,
1983. Mysteriously, a ripple in space and time transported the crew
and ship into another dimension filled with humanoid giants 12 times
their size. The seven earthlings on board struggled to find away out
of this LAND OF THE GIANTS. The crew included co-pilot Dan Erikson
(Don Marshall), and stewardess Betty Hamilton (Heather Young).
Passenger list included Barry Lockridge, Mark Wilson, and Valerie
Scott.LITTLE PEOPLE, BIG WORLD/TLC/2006+ (Little
People)
*(Mathew & Amy Roloff) Mathew and Amy Roloff are featured in this In
depth documentary (filmed over six months and ten hour days) that
follows the Roloffs - an extraordinary family composed of both
little and average-sized people. The show featured Amy who raised
four children: 15-year-old twins, Jeremy and Zach (Jeremy is average
height and Zach is a little person), 12-year-old Molly and
8-year-old Jacob. Together Mathew and Amy own and operate Roloff
Farms, a sprawling 34-acre farm in Oregon.
NIGHT COURT/NBC/1984-92 (Little Person)
**(Daniel Frishman) Vincent Daniels, a dwarf city official who
supervised Assistant. D.A. Dan Fielding (John Larroquette) who
constantly made jokes about his bosses lack of height.
PICKET FENCES/CBS/1992-96 (Little Person)
**(Zelda Rubenstein) Ginny Weeden, a dwarfish eavesdropping busybody
receptionist for the police department in Rome Wisconsin. Later in
the series, her character retired and was found frozen solid in her
home freezer chest. Rubenstein is probably best remembered as the
ghostbusting psychic in the movie Poltergeist (1982) and
subsequent sequels Poltergeist II (1986) and Poltergeist III
(1988).
THE PRISONER/CBS/1968-69 (Mute Little Person)
**(Angelo Muscat) Dwarf manservant who worked at the strange coastal
resort which imprisoned a former espionage agent known only as
Number Six. This "silent butler" (he never spoke on the series)
catered to Number Six's every need during the life of this bizarre
spy fantasy series. In the last episode, both the butler and Number
Six escaped the Village.
SEINFELD/NBC/1990-98 (Little Person)
**(Danny Woodburn) Mickey Abbott, a hot-tempered, bearded, four-foot
tall actor and buddy of "hipster dufus" Cosmo Kramer. The stark
contrast to Kramer's towering six-foot plus height and Mickey's
short stature provided a nice sight gag. Once, Kramer volunteered to
help Mickey with an audition, but Cosmo couldn't sit down because
his pants were super tight. Angry because Kramer refused to sit down
(as per the audition script), an angry Mickey jumped on Kramer and
began to pummel him. The Mickey character was introduced in "The
Stand-In," the episode in which Kramer got a job as a stand-in on
All My Children. In subsequent episodes, Mickey plays a stand-in
role for Punky Brewster, a stint as department-store elf, and
portrayed a patient with "Bacterial Meningitis" for a group of
aspiring medical students (Kramer played "Gonorrhea"). Mickey wore
lifts in his shoes to get that extra height, but he never let his
height get in the way of romance with tall women. Mickey dated women
that even Kramer want. Mickey parents are normal sized (played by
Robert Wagner and Jill St. John).
SPECIAL UNIT 2/UPN/2001-02 (Gnome)
**(Danny Woodburn) Carl the Gnome, a diminutive con-artist and
compulsive petty thief who was recruited by the Chicago Police
Department as an informant on the occult adventure SPECIAL UNIT 2/UPN/2001.
Carl assists the covert group of SU2 detectives in hunting down and
controlling a level of society known as Links (malicious paranormal
species). Since Carl used to run with the Links crowd, he the SU2's
best contact for monitoring their activities.
TAXI/ABC/1978-83 (Little Person)
*(Danny DeVito/costar) Louie De Palma, a tyrannical dispatch
operator for the New York City based Sunshine Cab Company who issued
orders over the loudspeaker. When Louis stepped out of his wire
covered office, he was seen for what he was, a pint-sized little
twerp of a manager with more faults than you could shake a stick at.
Louis was so despicable that he instructed his drivers not to pick
up the handicapped because you could pick up four "normal" fares in
the same period of time.
THAT **** QUIZ SHOW/SYN/1982 (Little People)
*(Greg and John Rice) Greg and John Rice, two dwarfs who hosted this
quiz show featuring two teams with unusual occupations who answered
trivia questions for money and prizes.
THRESHOLD/CBS/2005+ (Little Person)
**(Peter Dinklage) Arthur Ramsey, a brilliant dwarf mathematician
and linguist expert who is recruited by a covert government project
called 'Threshold' to fight against an alien invasion Arthur has a
penchant for strip clubs and bemoans the fact that his top-secret
assignment keeps him away from the bars and the babes.
THE TICK/FOX/2001-02 (Little People)
**(Kevin Thompson) Tiny Man, a small superhero who lived in "The
City." Ironically, Tiny Man was excluded from the League of
Superheroes because they said he wasn't tiny enough. His costume was
green with a circular chest plate and silver shoulder pads. The Tiny
Man character appeared on episode No. 6 "The Big Leagues" (aired
12-21-2001).
TOM OF T.H.U.M.B./ABC/1966-69 (Miniaturized Janitor)
*(Cartoon Voices) Tiny espionage agent featured on segments of the
cartoon series THE KING KONG SHOW/ABC/1966-69. Tom's predicament is
summarized in the opening narration of the program: "Tom, an average
member of U.S. Intelligence Maintenance Department wounded in the
line of duty. Tom and his faithful (Asian) assistance Swingin' Jack
ran afoul of a shrinking La-Zar beam ray gun. They gave their height
for their country. Thus creating the Tiny Human Underground Military
Bureau. When the plan calls for small thinking, it's a job for TOM
of T.H.U.M.B."
TWIN PEAKS/ABC/1990-91 (Little Person)
**(Michael J. Anderson) "Dream Dwarf" and "The Man from Another
Place", a supernatural little person known who lived in a dream like
world surrounded by red curtains. When he spoke, his voice sounded
as if it was being played backwards. There was also a one-armed man
named Phillip Michael "Mike" Gerard played by Al Strobel.
WEBSTER/ABC/1983-87/SYN/1987-88 (Little Person)
*(Emmanuel Lewis) Webster Long, a small 12-year-old black boy (40
inches high) who was adopted by two white adults after his parents
died in a car crash. Despite the fact that Webster aged, the kid
seemingly never grew an inch.
THE WILD WILD WEST/CBS/1965-70 (Little Person)
**(Michael Dunn) Dr. Miguelito Loveless, an evil dwarf genius whose
main goal in life was the conquest of the world. Dr. Loveless, who
always evaded capture, (a la Professor Moriarity) was the main
antagonist of frontier secret service agents James T. West and
Artemus Gordon. On the reunion TV-movie WILD WILD WEST REVISITED
(1979) the the slightly taller but still diminutive son of Miquelito
Loveless, Michelito Loveless (Paul Williams) takes over his father's
criminal empire and tries to take over the world by cloning
replicants of world leaders. The plan forced secret agents James
West (Robert Conrad) and Artemus Gordon (Ross Martin) out of
retirement to thwart Michelito's villainous plan. A burial marker at
Miquelito Loveless' tombstone revealed that Miquelito was born in
1848 and had died in 1880.
THE WIZARD/CBS/1986-87 (Little Person)
*(David Rappaport) Simon McKay, a genius inventor and toy maker who
created fantastic devises for fun and the US Government. David
Rappaport measured 3-feet, 11-inches in height. He shot and killed
himself in Los Angeles on 5/2/90. He was 38.
THE WORLD OF GIANTS/SYN/1959 (Six-Inch Tall Spy)
*(Marshall Thompson) Mel Hunter, an undercover agent who had been
scientifically reduced to the height of six-inches. With the aid of
his full-size partner, Bill Winters (Arthur Franz) they infiltrated
and busted crime organizations. Mel usually traveled in Bill Winters
briefcase.
