Vampires are the reanimated corpses of dead
humans that roam the night in search of the
warm blood of living creatures, especially
humans. Vampires can turn into bats or wolves.
When in human form they can be recognized
because they cast no shadow nor reflection in
a mirror and can't stand the sight of running
water. In folklore, the traditional weapons
used against the vampire were the crucifix,
holy water, the smell of garlic, wolf bane, a
wooden stake through the heart, exposure to
the light of day and being shot with a silver
bullet or like object.
