Zombo - On episode No. 60 "Zombo" of the sitcom
THE MUNSTERS/CBS/1964-66, Louis Nye appeared as Zombo, a TV horror show host who
lived in a creaky mansion.
Zombo with Crumble Creatures
Zombo had long shaggy hair, a twisted nose, fangs, claws, a cape, and a
pointed wizard's hat covered with moons, stars and occult figures.
Zombo read stories to fans including "Mark of the Werewolf." Chapter 26 was
as far as he had gotten. His show's sponsor was Crumble Creatures.
Eddie Munster (Butch Patrick), a devoted fan entered the "I Like Zombo
Because...Contest" and was invited onto the show as a guest. Eddie became
disenchanted when he discovered Zombo's monstrous appearance was not real but
rather the result of makeup.
