Charlie Horse - Cocky, bucktoothed 10-year-old
hand puppet created by ventriloquist Shari Lewis.

Charlie Horse appeared on the
popular children's program with her own 30-minute series THE SHARI LEWIS
SHOW/NBC/1960-63. His puppet friends are Lamb Chop, a shy, soft-spoken fleecy
little lamb about 6-years-old with a penchant for mischief and wisecracks; and
Hush Puppy, a sweet 7-year-old Mortimer Snerd-like country cousin of Lamb Chop.
Charlie Horse costarred on the LAMB CHOP'S' PLAY-ALONG from 1992-97. In 1998,
Charlie Horse starred on the PBS TV series entitled THE CHARLIE HORSE MUSIC
PIZZA that taught music appreciation to young kids at home.
According to show's character
profiles, Charlie loves bugs, worms, snakes, horror stories and anything
else that will gross out Shari and his two younger siblings Lamb Chop and Hush
Puppy. Charlie loves to play his drums.
Along with Charlie
Horse's friend, Lamb Chop the show featured Take Out, a skateboarding orangutan,
Fingers, a raccoon who lives in the garbage bins; actor Dom DeLuise as "Cookie,"
the fun-loving chef, and Wezley Morris as Junior, the Music Pizza's musical
