Lucky the cricket - The favorite pet of Arnold Jackson (Gary Coleman), a small black boy on the sitcom DIFF'RENT STROKES/NBC/ABC/ 1978-86. Arnold kept Lucky in a small bamboo cage in his bedroom to bring him luck. (based on the oriental belief that crickets are lucky). The only drawback to having a cricket for a pet was that its chirping sound kept everyone awake at night. Lucky was seen on episode #118 "The Cricket"
