Ark II - The
mobile Land-Rover and storehouse of scientific
knowledge on the live-action sci-fi series ARK
II/CBS/1976-79.
Roaming the now barren landscape of Earth (A.D.
2476), damaged from centuries of pollution and
global holocaust, the Ark II sought out the
feudal tribes of the future attempting to
replant the technological seeds of a new
civilization.
Its crew included Jonah, (Terry Lester), the
expedition leader; Ruth (Jean Marie Hon), Samuel
(Jose Flores) and Adam, a chimpanzee companion.
Their stated mission: "To bring the hope of the
new future to mankind."
The Ark II also housed a smaller four-wheeled
vehicle called "The
Roamer" and a
jet pack which Jonah used for aerial surveillance.
