The Troll
Song
(sing
it like Rex Harrison)
(Lyrics by Jerome A.
Holst, © 2007)
|
Verse |
I wish I was a troll
A roly-poly troll
I'd sleep all day
I'd eat all night
I'd dance and prance in the pale moonlight |
| |
|
|
Verse |
A troll
A troll
I'd love to be a troll
No shoes to wear
No cares to bear
I'd laugh and play with the fairies fair
Yes, I'd love to be
Why what ecstacy
Yes, I'd love to beeeeee a troll |
| |
|
|
Bridge |
I wish I
was a troll
A roly-poly troll
My nose would be big
My tail would be long
My pointy ears how they'd wiggle
My eyes would glimmer
My fur would shimmer
The thought of it makes me giggle
So Yes, Yes Yes
I must confess confess
There is nothing in this world, you see
That I'd rather rather be
Than a roly-poly, roly-poly
Roly-poly trolly
Yes, I'd love to be
Why what ecstacy
Yes, I'd love to beeeeee a troll |
| |
|
|
Verse |
A troll
A troll
I'd love to be a troll
What a lovely life
What a shear delight
I'd sing and shout til the morning light
Oh the thought of it makes me tingle
Like a visit from Old Chris Kringle
Yes I love to be
Why what ecstacy
Yes, I'd love to beeeeee
aaaahhh trollllllll
aaaahhh trolllllll
aaaahhh TROLLLLLLL |

NOTE: So I was writing this
children's book about a troll and I got so into the
subject, that I was inspired to write this song. As I
sang the song to myself, I began to sing like Rex
Harrison of "My Fair Lady" fame. For some reason, his
personality helped set the rhythm for the lyrics. And
so another song was born on August 24, 2007. |
