The Monster That Devoured Cleveland - The favorite movie monster of beatnik Maynard G. Krebs (Bob Denver) on the sitcom THE MANY LOVES OF DOBIE GILLIS/CBS/1959-63. This "Monster" was the main character in the motion picture The Monster That Devoured Cleveland, (and later The Son of the Monster That Ate Cleveland) that frequently screened at the local Bijou movie house in the small town of Central City, USA. Maynard had seen the movie numerous times.
