TRIVIA NOTE: The International Criminal Police Organization, better as Interpol was established in Vienna in 1923 (as the International Criminal Police Commission) and reconstituted in Paris in 1946. Its responsibilities include being a worldwide clearinghouse for police information supplying its 100 member nations with data on criminals and criminal activities such as counterfeiting, forgery, smuggling and the narcotics trade.
