Hawaii Five-O - An elite four-man state police division of the Hawaiian State Police investigating "organized crime, murder, assassination attempts, foreign agents, felonies of every type" on the police drama HAWAII FIVE-O/CBS/1968-80. The Hawaii Five-O headquarters was the base of operation for Det. Steve McGarrett (Jack Lord) who battled criminals of the Hawaiian underworld and reported directly to Governor Philip Grey (Richard Denning).

Assisting McGarrett were James MacArthur as Det. Danny "Danno" Williams; Kam Fong as Det. Chin Ho Kelly; Zulu as Det. Kono Kalakaua; Al Harrington as Det. Ben Kokua; and Harry Endo as Che Fong. McGarrett's chief nemesis was criminal genius Wo Fat (played by Khigh Dhiegh) a Red Chinese agent in charge of the entire Pacific Asiatic theatre.

At the end of each episode, McGarrett caught the bad guys and proclaimed his trademark catchphrase "Book 'em Danno."

TRIVIA NOTE: The Five-O building seen on the series was actually the Iolani Palace, a white stone Italian Renaissance edifice built in 1882 for King Kalakaua. It was once the seat of the Hawaii's state government but has since been turned into a museum. This historical landmark is located at the corner of King and Richards Streets in Honolulu, Hawaii.
