Les Nessman's Imaginary Walls - Les Nessman, the news director for the radio station on the sitcom WKRP wished he had his own office. To create the illusion of his own private workspace he created his own work space out of thin air. When you approached his work area (whose walls were marked by tape on the carpet floor), you had to simulate knocking on a door that wasn't there before he would acknowledge your presence.
