 Elvis the Gator - Tiny
two-foot alligator on the sitcom CLARISSA EXPLAINS IT
ALL/NIK/1991-94. Elvis was the pet of Clarissa Darling (Melissa
Joan Hart), a thirteen-year old girl who kept her pet alligator
in a small sand-filled blue plastic pool (called "The Heart
Break Hotel") in her upstairs bedroom. Note: Elvis was also the name
of the full-sized alligator owned by undercover police Detective
James "Sonny" Crockett (Don Johnson) on the police drama MIAMI
VICE/NBC/1984-89. Elvis lived on board Sonny's boat, the "St. Vitus Dance." Elvis was the former University of Florida mascot
(retired because he took a bite out of a University of Georgia
free safety. He also has a clock inside of him because of a
"Captain Hook" fraternity prank.
