Peepo - Small cowardly robot on the sci-fi adventure SPACE ACADEMY/CBS/1977-79. Based in the year A.D. 3732, Peepo was the property of Space Academy, a futuristic school for young space cadets. It assisted the aging space instructor Commander Gampu (Jonathan Harris) as he imparted his wisdom to the new recruits. Peepo's was white in color, waist-high in height, had a square red plastic face, a pedestal foundation with wheels built into its base and spoke with a feminine voice. Peepo moved via radio remote control and hence became the first remote-controlled robot to be featured in a continuing role. It was later seen on the spin-off series JASON OF STAR COMMAND/CBS/1979-81.
