Hashimoto - Soft-spoken Japanese mouse trained in the art of  Judo who starred in a cartoon within a cartoon (component series) on THE HECTOR HEATHCOTE SHOW/NBC/1963-65. The cartoon told stories of Japan and featured Hashimoto garbed in a traditional kimono who related stories to an American newspaper reporter, G. I. Joe. Also featured were Hashimoto's wife Mrs. Hashimoto, their daughter, Yuriko and son, Saburo. Hashimoto premiered in the theatrical release Hashimoto San (1959) created by Bob Kuwahara. Terrytoons produced fourteen Hashimoto cartoons from 1959-63. Their mice voices were supplied by John Myers.
