Venus Butterfly - Secret sexual technique
mentioned during a November 1986 episode "Venus
Butterfly" written by Steven Bochco and Terry
Louise Fisher on the law drama LA
LAW/NBC/1986-94.

Lawyers Stuart
Markowitz and Ann Kelsey
The description of the "Venus Butterfly"
technique was whispered to tax attorney Stuart Markowitz (Michael
Tucker) by a bigamist client, who was extremely lucky with
women.
By program's end, Stuart was in bed melting the
sexual frost of fellow attorney Ann Kelsey (Jill
Eikenberry) who enthusiastically begged for more
of this most wonderful sexual maneuver.
When Stewart responded "I'm glad you liked it."
Jill said "Like it! Actually, It was the closest
thing I have ever experienced to pure ecstasy."
Of course, what the Venus Butterfly actually was
and what it actually did was all in the
imagination of each and every viewer. The
program never revealed the Butterfly secret, but
many tongues were a wagging after the program
aired.
Switch boards at NBC stations around the country
lit up with calls wanting to know the secret of
the "Butterfly" and soon after bartender created
VB drinks and perfumes companies introduced VB
colognes.
Obsessed viewers hunted for the secret and
theories galore appeared in Penthouse and
Playboy.
In a TV interview on E! TRUE HOLLYWOOD actor
Michael Tucker commented "I was amazed with the
effect it had all over the world. We could walk
into a cafe in Paris and people would ask what
the VB was."
One explanation of the Venus Butterfly technique
surfaced in "Secrets of Seduction" (Dutton Book,
1993) written by Brenda Venus.
On page 143 under the topic "The Venus Butterfly
and Other Specialties" we discover "The Venus
Butterfly is a highly erotic and stimulating way
to give a woman a more satisfying orgasm...Begin
by assuming the Missionary position..." You'll
have to read the book to find out more.
