Judy the chimp - Chimpanzee on the animal adventure DAKTARI/CBS/1966-69. Judy lived with veterinarian Dr. Marsh Tracy (Marshall Thompson) and his daughter, Paula (Cheryl Miller) at the Wameru Animal Study Center for Animal Behavior in Africa. Clarence, the cross-eyed lion was Judy's companion on the series. In real life, Judy was owned by Ralph Helfer, the creator of Africa, USA, an animal behavioral center in Southern California. Trained by Frank Lamping, Judy obeyed and responded to 75 hand signals. One of her unique talents (for a chimp) was that she was potty trained. She used a real toilet and lots and lots of toilet paper.
