O.S.I. - Office of Scientific Information, headed by Oscar Goldman (Richard Anderson) was a government agency that used its scientific know-how in the defense of the Free World. O.S.I.'s chief operative and weapons was astronaut Steve Austin (Lee Majors), whose body was reconstructed and fitted with bionic parts which gave him superhuman abilities. In exchange for the multi-million dollar operation which salvaged his body, Steve Austin became performed top-secret assignments. Later the O.S.I. recruited Steve's girlfriend Jaime Sommers (Lindsay Wagner), who had damaged her body in a sky diving accident. She, too, was fitted with the latest in bionic human part replacements. The O.S.I. appeared on the sci-fi series THE SIX MILLION DOLLAR MAN/ABC/1973-78 and THE BIONIC WOMAN/ABC/NBC/1976-78.
