Mare's Leg - Bounty hunter Josh Randall (Steve McQueen) nicknamed his rifle "Mare's Leg" on the western adventure WANTED: DEAD OR ALIVE/CBS/1958-61. Mare's Leg was an 1892 Winchester 30-40 carbine with a sawed off barrel which handled like a pistol but had the explosive punch of a rifle cartridge. Josh once said of his gun "It's kinda like a hog's leg but not quite as mean, If I have to use it, I want to get the message across."

TRIVIA NOTE: The original gun used on the series (as of the 1980s) was housed at the Fort Spaghetti Restaurant and Museum located at 999 Ball Road, Anaheim, California. The collection (owned by the Stovall Family) is listed as "the world's greatest individual old west gun collection" and valued at $1,500,000.
