from Los Angeles and starring Russell "Lucky"
Hayden as the Marshal (later replaced by Eddie
Dean) and Roscoe Ates as the deputy sidekick.
TRIVIA NOTE: The series 22 episodes
were broadcast live (Saturday 6:30pm) from the
Iverson Ranch, Chatsworth, Los Angeles,
California. They aired from March 12, 1950
through September 30, 1950. The first episode
was "Shotgun Messenger."
An episode of this rare children's western can
be found on the 2-hour DVD "Classic Western TV
Kid Shows" Vol I. which also contains episodes
from The Quaker Oats Show with Gabby Hayes
('50 NBC), Action In The Afternoon ('53
CBS) and Wild Bill Hickok ('52 CBS).
Russell Hayden later starred in the syndicated
westerns "Cowboy G-Men" (1952) and "Judge Roy
Bean" (1955).
