Jason Evers starred as Pitcairn,
a nomadic, philosophical cowpoke and gunfighter who worked odd jobs
throughout the Old West of the 1880s.
Along
the way, Pitcairn helped those in
need and killed those who deserved to die, like
rustlers, horse thieves and hostile Indians. Pitcairn's horse was named Sam.

TRIVIA NOTE:
The short-lived, six-episode series was a 1960 summer replacement for
THE TENNESSEE ERNIE FORD SHOW.
WRANGLER was
the first videotaped western series - using Paramount TV's TVola tape editing and Marconi cameras,
instead of traditional 35mm film.
