- Children's program hosted by Cactus Jim (Clarence Hartzell/Bill Bailey), a "range-riding old timer" who entertained kids by spinning yarns and showing segments of Western movies. The program originated on WNBQ in Chicago. (30 Minutes) 

CADE'S COUNTY/CBS/1971-72 - Contemporary police drama set in sprawling Madrid County, California. Glenn Ford starred as Sheriff Sam Cade (Glenn Ford) who maintained law and order assisted by veteran deputy J.J. Jackson (Edgar Buchanan) and rookie deputies Arlo Pritchard (Taylor Lacher); Rudy Davillo (Victor Campos); and Pete (Peter Ford). (60 Minutes) 

THE CALIFORNIANS/NBC/1957-59 - Set in the Gold Rush days of the 1850s Dion Patrick (Adam Kennedy) worked as a crusading newspaper reporter in the booming town of San Francisco. Other concerned citizens included newspaper editor Sam Brennan (Herbert Rudley); and storekeeper Jack McGivern (Sean McClory). (30 Minutes)

CASEY JONES/SYN/1957 - Railroad  adventure about the legendary train engineer Casey Jones (Alan Hale, Jr.) and his late 1880s run along the Illinois Central Railroad line. (30 Minutes)  Casey Jones - Broken Wheel Ranch Website

CENTENNIAL/NBC/1978-79 - Based on James A. Michener's novel Centennial, this miniseries (aired from October 1978 through February 1979) chronicled the historical events revolving around a region of the Rocky Mountains later to be called Centennial, Colorado. The earlier episodes set in 1795 told the story of French trapper Pasquinel (Robert Conrad) and Scottish trader Alexander McKeag (Richard Chamberlain). (25 Hours) 

CHEYENNE/ABC/1955-63 - Clint Walker starred as Cheyenne Bodie, a tall, broad-shouldered drifter who wandered the Old West in the years following the Civil War. Cheyenne got his name from the Cheyenne Indians who raised him. The character was loosely based on the movie Cheyenne (1947) starring Dennis Morgan. (60 Minutes) 

THE CHISHOLMS/CBS/1979-80 - The story of a Virginia family who trekked across the 1840s wilderness of early America in search of a new home (a legal battle had taken their old home from them.) Robert Preston starred as the patriarch Hadley Chisholm. The series was based on a four-part miniseries originally aired in the spring of 1979. Their trip began in Virginia and continued to Fort Laramie and later onto California. (60 Minutes) 

CHRISTY/CBS/1994-95 - Based on Catherine Marshal's 1967 novel, this adventure followed the trials and tribulations of a young nineteen-year-old schoolteacher named Christy Huddleston (Kellie Martin) who moved to the 1912 Appalachian town of Cutter Gap, Tennessee to teach the underprivileged with aide of her mentor, Miss Alice Henderson (Tyne Daly). (60 Minutes) 

CIMARRON CITY/NBC/1958-60 - George Montgomery starred as Matthew Rockford, a cattle rancher and Mayor of Cimarron City, an oil boom town located in Oklahoma during the 1890s. His friends included Beth Purcell (Audrey Totter) a boardinghouse owner; and Lane Temple (John Smith), the town sheriff. (60 Minutes) 

CIMARRON STRIP/CBS/1967-68 - Set in the late 19th century, this was the story of US Marshal Jim Crown (Stuart Whitman) who had the arduous task of patrolling the border area between the Kansas and Indian Territories. Based in Cimarron City, Marshal Crown occasionally used the assistance of a Scotsman named MacGregor (Percy Herbert) and frontier photographer, Francis Wilde (Randy Boone) to maintain the peace. (90 Minutes) 

CIRCUS BOY/NBC/ABC/1956-58 - Circus adventure set in the turn-of-the-century Southwest featuring the Burke and Walsh Circus, a traveling band of entertainers lead by Big Tim Champion (Robert Lowery). Corky (Mickey Braddock), a 12-year-old orphan was the focus of the series. Noah Berry, Jr. appeared as Joey, the Clown. (30 Minutes) 

THE CISCO KID/SYN/1950-56 - Set in New Mexico of the 1890s, this was the tale the Cisco Kid (Duncan Renaldo), a Latin "Robin Hood of the Old West" who righted wrongs assisted by his comic sidekick, Pancho (Leo Carrillo). The series was based on O. Henry's story The Caballero's Way and produced by ZIV Films (30 Minutes).

COLGATE WESTERN  THEATRE/NBC/1959 - Summer program that featured western stories originally telecast on the GENERAL ELECTRIC THEATRE/CBS/1953-62 and SCHLITZ PLAYHOUSE OF STARS/CBS/1951-59. (30 Minutes) 

COLT .45/ABC/1957-60 - Wayde Preston starred as Christopher Colt, a undercover agent and gun salesman who tracked down wanted felons for the government. His cousin Sam Colt, Jr. (Donald May) replaced him in later episodes. The Colt .45 gun was a prominently featured on the series. (30 Minutes) 

CONCRETE COWBOYS/CBS/1981 - Contemporary adventure with Jerry Reed as Jimmy Lee "J.D." Reed and Geoffrey Scott as Will Ewbanks. Footloose and fancy free these two cowpokes roamed the US in a dilapidated camper looking for adventure, and a fast card game or two. (60 Minutes)   

C.O.W. BOYS OF MOO MESA  See - "The Wild West C.O.W.Boys of Moo Mesa"

COWBOY G-MEN/SYN/1952-53 - Set in the 1880s, this western adventure starred Russell Hayden as Pat Gallagher and Jackie Coogan as Stoney Crockett, two secret agents who maintained law and order in the Old West. (30 Minutes) 

COWBOY IN AFRICA/ABC/1967-68 - Chuck Connors starred as Jim Sinclair, a world-champion rodeo rider hired by English landowner Wing Commander Howard Hayes (Ronald Howard) to run a modern game ranch located in Kenya. Tom Nardini costarred as John Henry, Jim's Navajo Indian assistant. (60 Minutes) 

COWBOY THEATRE/DUM/NBC/1956-57 - Hosted by Monty Hall, this anthology program featured reedited western motion pictures produced by Columbia Pictures in the 1930-40s. (60 Minutes) 

THE COWBOYS/ABC/1974 - Set in the 1870s New Mexico Territory, this was the story of widow Annie Andersen (Diana Douglas), her black ranch foreman Jebediah Nightlinger (Moses Gunn) and their attempts to run a homestead with the help of seven young orphan boys (aged 9-17). The series was based on the novel by W. D. Jennings and the movie The Cowboys (1972) starring John Wayne. (30 Minutes) 

COWBOYS & INJUNS/ABC/1950 - Children's program featuring educational information on the folklore of cowboy and Indian cultures. Hosted by Rex Bell. (30 Minutes) 

COWBOY RODEO/ABC/1957-58 - Calf roping, bronco and bare back riding were the focus of this rodeo series with hosted by Marty Glickman and Howard "Stony" Harris. (60 Minutes) 

CRASH CORRIGAN'S RANCH/ABC/1950 - Western variety program for children hosted by western movie actor Ray "Crash" Corrigan. (30 Minutes) 

CUSTER/ABC/1967 - Military adventure based on the early career of US Cavalry officer George Armstrong Custer (Wayne Maunder) when he was given the task of commanding the men of Fort Hays, Kansas, the home of the 7th Cavalry, a rowdy, undisciplined groups of drifters, thieves and ex-confederate soldiers. The series is also known as THE LEGEND OF CUSTER (60 Minutes)
