NAKIA/ABC/1974 - Contemporary police drama set in the Albuquerque, New Mexico area about deputy sheriff, Nakia Parker (Robert Forster), a lawman of Indian ancestry who was often in conflict with his people's customs and white man's law. (60 Minutes) 

NATIONAL VELVET/NBC/1960-62 - Equine adventure featuring a beautiful chestnut thoroughbred named King (short for "Blaze King"). King belonged to Velvet Brown (Lori Martin), a young girl living on a dairy farm in the Midwest whose dream was to someday enter the Grand National Steeplechase. Mi Taylor (James McCallion), an ex-jockey, costarred as King's trainer. The series was based on the story National Velvet (1935) written by Enid Bagnold which originally was set in England. Her story inspired a successful MGM movie National Velvet (1944) starring Elizabeth Taylor and Mickey Rooney. The novel featured a piebald horse, a black & white pinto with large distinct patches. King was changed to a sorrel gelding for the film.

THE NEW ADVENTURES OF HUCK FINN/NBC/1968-69 - Mark Twain's characters Huck Finn (Michael Shea), Becky Thatcher (Lu Ann Haslam), and Tom Sawyer (Kevin Schultz) were revived in this series which found the 19th century children being pursued each episode (through a time portal originating in a cave) by the renegade Injun Joe (Ted Cassidy).The program blended live-action and animated characters. 

THE NEW LAND/ABC/1974 - Frontier drama set in the 1858 wilderness of Solna, Minnesota about the Larsen family, Scandinavian immigrants struggling to establish a homestead. The family included parents, Christian and Anna (Scott Thomas/Bonnie Bedelia); and children Tuliff (Todd Lookinland) and Anneliese (Debbie Lytton). The series was based on the Swedish made movies The Emigrants (1972) and The New Land (1973). (60 Minutes)           

NICHOLS/NBC/1971-72 - Set in the 1914 town of Nichols, Arizona, James Garner starred as Nichols (no first name) who returned to his family hometown only to be blackmailed into being sheriff by Ma Ketcham (Neva Patterson), the town's most influential figurehead. In the last episode, James Garner's wimpy character was shot to death and then replaced by a more dynamic twin brother named Jim who came into town to avenge his death. (60 Minutes) 

THE NINE LIVES OF ELFEGO BACA/ABC/1958 - Adventure series featured under the "Frontierland" banner of WALT DISNEY PRESENTS/ABC/1954-61 starring Robert Loggia as Elfega Baca, a peace-loving frontier sheriff later turned lawyer who lived in Socorro County, New Mexico in the 1880s. (60 Minutes) 

NORTHWEST PASSAGE/NBC/1958-59 - Keith Larsen starred as Major Robert Rogers (1731-95), the famed explorer/Indian fighter who searched for the Northwest Passage, a water route thought to link the eastern and western portions of North America. Buddy Ebsen costarred as Sergeant Hunk Mariner. The program focused on their trek to the Northwest Passage interspersed with battles with the French and Indians of the period.
