Herman Munster's Advice - On episode No. 19 "Eddie's Nickname" of the sitcom THE MUNSTERS/CBS/1964-66 Eddie Munster earned the nickname "Shorty" from his taunting schoolmates.. His father Herman (Fred Gwynne) consoled him by saying "It doesn't matter what you look like. You can be tall or short, or fat or thin, or ugly or handsome, or you can be black or yellow or white. It doesn't matter. What does matter is the size of your heart and the strength of your character." After listening to Herman, Grandpa Munster (Al Lewis) commented "You know something Herman?" You're a pretty nice guy. You're no Norman Vincent Peale. But you're a nice guy."
