Slimey the worm - Red and yellow stripped pet worm of Oscar the Grouch, the shaggy green muppet who lived in a garbage can on the children's program SESAME STREET/PBS/1969+. Slimey first appeared in 1977 when Oscar found him in a rainstorm. Oscar put the worm on his shoulder and took him home. He named his new friend Slimey. Slimey's favorite magazines are Better Holes & Gardens, Slime Week, and Worm World. Slimey's family included: Dusty, his father, Eartha, his mother and Sloppy, his baby sister. Martin P. Robinson manipulated the Slimey puppet.
